Za'atar

Za'atar is a blend of spices that originates in the Middle East. We create our Za'atar blend here in Canada from a mix of oregano, thyme, marjoram (which is woodsy and floral), mixed with dried sumac (for a tangy and acidic flavour) and toasted sesame seeds to give it a rich and nutty finish. You can often find this tangy yet floral blend in salad dressings and hummus. It's also sometimes used in baking, in sourdough bread for example. Our Za'atar's authentic flavour stands out due to the pure za'atar leaves and type of oregano we use.
