Copernic Walnut Wood Watch

The Copernic watch, by Mathieu Blanchard, is freely inspired by the work of Nicolaus Copernicus. Galileo was also inspired by it to give new life to timekeeping, developing the first work on the pendulum clock.

The automatic movement is an original and traditional feature. This technology harnesses gravity and converts your arm movements into energy. To ensure the automatic watch doesn't stop when inactive, it also has a power reserve with which it can continue to function for 35 to 60 hours, depending on the movement.

The grain of the wood, like a fingerprint, is unique, making each watch entirely different. Each watch is crafted with great care to be a one-of-a-kind masterpiece. Take it to the next level and make the experience even more special with a personalized engraving, etched on the back of the watch. 

A product's durability depends mainly on its materials. For Mathieu Blanchard Signature watches, we use materials that are durable over time.

For the crystal, we use sapphire crystal: This is the most frequently used crystal on high-end watches today. Sapphire crystal is 10 times harder than mineral glass and 4 times harder than acrylic glass. It is virtually impossible to scratch except with a diamond, which is even harder. This crystal is lab-created.

For watch cases and straps, we have made enormous efforts to produce using durable materials such as natural wood, sourced sustainably, and matte-finished stainless steel. This finish provides visual durability, as wear and tear appear much less than on a polished finish.
