X-ACTO KS Manual Mountable Metal Pencil Sharpener - Adjustable for 8 Pencil Sizes (1031T)

X-ACTO 1031T KS Manual Mountable Metal Pencil Sharpener

X-ACTO KS Manual Pencil Sharpener is designed to provide unmatched durability and performance in high-traffic environments, delivering a perfect point for students, artists, and professionals alike. Since the acquisition of the legendary Boston brand, X-ACTO has maintained the meticulous engineering standards that have made the KS model a staple in Canadian classrooms and offices for over a century. This all-metal, hand-crank sharpener solves the common problem of uneven sharpening and frequent breakage by utilizing a robust planetary gear system that stands the test of time.

Key Benefits

• ?? Dual Helical Cutters : Unlike standard sharpeners, the KS features twin hardened steel helical cutters with 30 cutting edges that revolve around the pencil for a clean, centered point.
• ?? 8-Hole Selector Dial : The positive-lock selector dial easily adjusts to eight different pencil sizes, accommodating everything from thin drafting leads to jumbo primary school pencils and crayons.
• ?? Pencil-Saver® Technology : This internal mechanism prevents over-sharpening by automatically stopping the cutting action once the tip is sharp, extending the life of your pencils.
• ??? Commercial-Grade Construction : Built with a heavy-duty die-cast zinc base and a nickel-plated steel receptacle, it is specifically rated for high-volume use in demanding environments.
• ?? Versatile Dual-Position Mounting : The sturdy base is engineered for permanent installation on either horizontal surfaces like desks or vertical surfaces like walls.

Product Details

The X-ACTO 1031T KS is the direct successor to the original icon manufactured by the Boston Pencil Sharpener Company. While the brand name has evolved, the commitment to solid steel gearing and precision remains unchanged. The manual crank operation provides a tactile experience that allows for greater control, ensuring that colored pencils and graphite leads are treated with the appropriate pressure to prevent internal core shattering.

Whether you are outfitting a large-scale educational facility or a boutique design studio, the KS model provides seamless integration into any workspace. Its large-capacity shavings receptacle is crafted from polished steel, resisting dents and scratches while remaining easy to empty with a simple pull-off motion. The inclusion of industrial-strength mounting hardware ensures that once installed, the sharpener provides a rigid and stable platform, eliminating the "wobble" associated with suction-cup or lightweight plastic alternatives. This model represents the pinnacle of manual sharpening technology, combining a professional aesthetic with the reliability of century-old heritage.
