Sereniten Plus contains milk protein hydrolysate, which temporarily helps reduce symptoms of mild mental and physical stress.

Milk protein hydrolysate, in the form of Lactium®, contains a bioactive decapeptide that has been clinically studied to reduce stress. During periods of physical or mental stress, cortisol levels in the body increase as a defense mechanism to protect the body. While this is an an adaptive mechanism, prolonged cortisol secretion can have negative effects on the proper functioning of the body, including decreased immune function and poor digestion.

In participants subjected to induced stress, a randomized controlled study found that alpha S1-casein hydrolysate, the active peptide in Lactium, decreased plasma cortisol levels and heart rate compared to the control group. Another study found that alpha S1-casein hydrolysate also improved feelings of well-being and digestion in stressed women.

Sereniten Plus also contains L-theanine and vitamin D. Vitamin D contributes to the maintenance of good health and the maintenance of bones and teeth.
