Organic Fibre-Pro is made from PHGG, a prebiotic fiber derived from the guar bean. It mixes easily in water without significant thickening, remains stable in acidic pH, and resists high temperatures.1 Fibers are an important part of a healthy diet and contribute to regularity. As a prebiotic fiber, PHGG increases beneficial species of Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium in the gut.4,5 Fermentation also increases beneficial short-chain fatty acids such as acetate and butyrate.6

Studies show that PHGG helps prevent constipation and relieve diarrhea, by normalizing transit time and stool consistency.7,8 In people with Irritable Bowel Syndrome, PHGG has been shown to improve symptoms of both diarrhea-predominant and constipation-predominant forms4,8, in addition to improving bloating and gas symptoms.3 Organic Fibre-Pro is low in FODMAPs (fermentable oligosaccharides, disaccharides, monosaccharides, and polyols), substances that are difficult for people with Irritable Bowel Syndrome to digest.
