Leather David Linocut Bookmark

This bookmark is an homage to the historic Fe-Be’s Leather Bar in San Francisco - a handprinted reproduction of Fe-Be’s iconic logo. Fe-Be's was known for its playful leather-clad version of Michelangelo's infamous sculpture, David. Fe-Be’s opened in 1966 and, after closing briefly in 1971, remained a vibrant part of the Folsom Street leather community until it closed under the weight of the AIDS pandemic in 1986. Take this bookmark home and add some leather daddy goodness to your reading routine.

Learn more about Fe-Be’s here.

Not only are they sexy and playful, but these bookmarks are also sustainable! Each bookmark is handprinted on salvaged paper from the 'trimmings' of larger sheets that would have otherwise gone to waste - good boy 😈

Each linocut print is meticulously handcrafted by Eric Van Giessen using top-quality SpeedBall Professional Block-Printing Ink to ensure longevity and vibrancy. Printed on premium Rising Stonehenge Paper (250 gsm) with deckled edges, the artwork comes alive with exceptional handmade quality.

The entire process of creating the linocut, from design and drawing to carving and printing, is performed by hand by the artist. This results in a truly one-of-a-kind piece, with subtle variations that highlight the charm and authenticity of handmade art. These differences and imperfections are not flaws, but rather an inevitable outcome of the handmade process.

Shipping: Your bookmark will be securely packaged in an acid-free, board-backed cellophane sleeve and dispatched within 3-5 business days. Prints are sent in a rigid mailer via Canada Post (5-8 business days) or Trexity (next day, local delivery only).
