Hornbeam

The Bach flower Hornbeam, also called Charme, is a somewhat peculiar flower: it only germinates after two or three years. Unlike many other plants, its flowering therefore does not occur every spring. Despite its slowness, it can be sudden and very beautiful. Some species of Hornbeam, for example, produce superb purple flowers from April to June. However, most of the time, catkins, which are a type of hanging, yellow and green flower, are found at the ends of hornbeam branches as soon as fine weather arrives.

The hornbeam maintains a beautiful appearance regardless of the season. While its toothed and wrinkled leaves are a tender green in spring and summer, they take on beautiful yellow and orange hues in autumn and remain attached until the foliage renews. Very resistant, it adapts to all soils and does not need much light. Its very dense roots, deeply anchored in the soil, allow it to live up to one hundred and fifty years, and to be very resistant to diseases.
