The Gorse Bach flower is found on gorse bushes, which grow throughout Europe, as well as in North America and Australia and New Zealand. Thanks to its density, its thorns, but also its small scale-like leaves that protect it, gorse quickly becomes impenetrable.

The Gorse Bach flower can bloom as early as autumn, bringing color as the winter solstice approaches. Indeed, it has bright golden-yellow petals, which can give off a very pleasant scent when they are full of sunshine. Its small flowers, formed of five unequal petals resembling butterflies, then continue to bloom until spring, resisting climatic hazards no matter what. They are found in large numbers from March to June, illuminating the sides of paths as the good weather arrives. Recognized for its beauty and strength, gorse is also nicknamed Breton gold, and has become the official emblem of Brittany, while its flower has been designated the national flower of Galicia, a region in northwestern Spain.
