The Elm Bach flower is a bright red colour, easily associated with vitality and dynamism. These flowers are composed of glomerules, meaning juxtaposed petals. They are arranged in an umbel, a shape open to the outside, with a radiant appearance, and sway at the end of thin, short stems attached to the trees. The Elm Bach flower blooms before spring arrives, in February, and remains in bloom for about three months.

They are found on elm trees, which are native to Great Britain. Their deciduous leaves are recognizable by their green colour and simple, oval shape with serrated edges. These trees, with their very resistant wood, can reach thirty metres in height and live for several hundred years, giving them a robust appearance. While elm trees were once very common in village squares, they are rarer today. They are found in several European countries, preferably in sunny regions, as they particularly favour rich and fertile soils.
