Around the Block Bag

The Around The Block Messenger Bag pattern by Among Brenda's Quilts is a spacious messenger style purse with a magnetic snap closure. Instructions include directions to make the pockets with or without pockets and you can make this bag with a top zipper closure or not! There is an adjustable cross body strap and the finished size is 10.5"H x 10"W x 4"D. Included with this pattern is a front flap and front closure template.

Materials Needed: Fabric requirements is 42" of usable width

• Color A, Front and back of bag - 1 yard (.9m)
• Color B, Flap - 1/3 yard (.3m)
• Lining - 3/4 yard (.70m)
• Fusible Fleece - 1/4 yard (.2m)
• Foam Stabilizer, sew-in or single sided fusible - 18" x 58"
• Medium weight Fusible - 1/2 yard (.4m)
• Notions:
• Small scrap of clear vinyl
• Three 14" zippers or longer with nylon teeth (optional)
• One 1 and 1/2"(13mm) magnetic snap
• Three 1 and 1/2" O-Rings
• One 1 and 1/2" slider for adjustable strap
• One 1" Snap Hook for key catcher
• Removable marker
• Basic rotary sewing tools (ruler, mat, cutter)
