This 2" raised toilet seat is clamped onto the toilet bowl using two thumb screws located on the sides of the seat towards the rear. It features durable lightweight plastic construction that is easy to clean.
Raised toilet seats address the problems created when the toilet seat is too low to be used safely and easily by a user. When person with reduced strength or other limitation tries to lower themselves onto a toilet seat they will sometimes lower themselves to a point where they become unstable on their feet. When using a raised toilet seat, the goal is to effectively modify height of the toilet seat to a height where the user can reach the seat before they get low enough to become unstable on their feet.
Alternatively, when a user with limitations is trying to stand from a toilet seat that is too low, they will often find that they do not have the needed strength to stand. Once again, a raised toilet seat will help the user by providing a higher seat height that requires less effort to rise from.
When combined with a versa frame, the raised toilet seat, the user can better address their strength issues by providing arms which they can use to push themselves up with or help control their stability when lowering themselves onto the raised toilet seat. The versa frame will also
provide help in dealing with balance issues by providing arms which they can hold onto.
