Not to mention that this stone have a very consistent grit making it great for coarse work to set a foundation to polish on top of, where cheaper coarse grit stones tend to have a more inconsistent grain size and can cause unsightly feep scratches that are more difficult to work out on subsequent higher grit stones. Dishwasher safe, but we suggest avoiding abrasive cleaning tools like steel wool or scouring pads and instead suggest using a Hasegawa board scraper when needed to re-surface the board.

The Pro FSR Series, available in four sizes:

X-Small: (L: 410 mm x W: 230 mm x H: 20 mm) (L:16.14"x W: 9.05" x H: 0.78")

Small: (L: 500 mm x W: 300 mm x H: 20 mm) (L: 19.68" x W: 11.81" x H: 0.78")

Medium: (L: 600 mm x W: 350 mm x H: 20 mm) (L: 23.62" x W: 13.77" x H: 0.78")

Large: (L: 700 mm x W: 350 mm x H: 25 mm) (L: 27.55" x W: 13.77" x H: 0.98")

Blade Length

150 mm

Total Length

260 mm

Steel

Mono Semi-Stainless Steel

Handle

Rosewood w/ rivets

Rockwell

60

Height Spine to heel

29 mm

Width at Spine

2.65 mm

Weight

130 g

Bevel

Double (80/20)**

The Blacksmith

Masahiro knives come to us from Seki City, Gifu Prefecture, Japan -- a region renowned for its production of kitchen knives.
